If you have a savings account with a traditional bank, you know what I mean. You earn nothing for your money. While Acorns has riskier portfolio’s, they do offer better yields based on the risk you wish to take. I’m conservative with my cash, so I’m not risking a lot. And though my portfolio is what they call Moderate, it’s still less risky than many investments. So, there is some risk, but, I’m willing to take it for better returns. I can expect less than a percent interest on a traditional savings account at my bank. With Acorns, historically I have been making 8% on my money. Yes, that’s right, 8 percent annually. That’s more than most stock portfolios!
